When you plan to get your work team together at a Windsor Meeting Rooms location for team building activities it can be difficult to know which ones to choose. With a variety of personalities in your team there are going to be some activities that appeal to some more than others. Here is an idea of some team building activities that can help to build trust between your staff members that you might want to look at.
- Steps for making a cup of tea – this activity can be good fun as you ask your team in groups or pairs, depending on how many people there are, to write down the steps to make a cup of tea. The idea being that some people will make a simplistic list and others will go into more detail. This helps the team to see that no one route is better than the others as they all result in the same cup of tea as well as identifying that some people’s personalities are more detail driven than others.
- In pairs select one person to be the explainer and the other the builder. Give each pair a shape or picture that you want them to draw. This should only be given to the explainer. They must then describe the picture or shape to the builder in a set time frame. The builder then has another set of time to draw this shape. Again this is great for showing how different people communicate and how what one person says might not be perceived in the way that they intended.
