People who make purchases through Smartphones, expect to find mobile websites, that offer fast interactions, with rich content and that load quickly. According to a study conducted by Limelight Networks, the vast majority (80%) of mobile buyers are willing to leave a site when faced with a bad experience.

Among the 771 smartphone owners surveyed, two thirds (520 or 67.4%) have used their devices to make purchases online. Among them: 83% have researched and bought a product thanks to their mobile device, and 17% have limited themselves to researching the products on a shopping site.
34% of those who use the devices for research and purchase of products, usually do it once every 1-2 months, or very frequently (more than once a week), while 33% make a purchase at a time in when (once every 3-6 months).
Users were also asked to mention what features would help them make their shopping experience more favorable, with 88% taking the page load time as the most important; another 88% considered that it helps a lot to incorporate detailed images of the products, and 82% rated the optimization of the mobile site as very important (how the site fits the appropriate form of the screen, for example).
